Columbus Works provides free job readiness training, employment coaching, and support services to help job seekers build skills, overcome barriers, and connect with employers in the Columbus area. Their focus is on transforming lives through employment and removing obstacles to long-term career success.

Who Can Participate

Columbus Works serves job seekers interested in changing their lives through meaningful employment, offering services at no cost. Participants are often connected with workforce supports, job training, and employer partners ready to hire.

What the Program Offers

JumpStart® Job Readiness Training

A free multi-day (often 4–5 days) job readiness workshop that includes:

This program focuses on practical job search skills and helps participants transition into employment quickly.

Resume Building

Columbus Works helps job seekers create professionally formatted resumes that highlight strengths, skills, and relevant experience to improve chances of hire.

Interview Preparation

Participants receive one-on-one interview coaching to build confidence, improve communication skills, and practice responding to real interview questions.

Employment Coaching & Support

Job seekers work with an employment coach who can support:

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Mobile Care Center

Healthcare Access for All Families!

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Mobile Care Center is on the FACCES campus, providing convenient, trusted healthcare for youth and young adults ages 0–22. This mobile clinic removes barriers to care by bringing essential health services directly to families in the community.

FACCES proudly partners with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to host the Mobile Care Center, ensuring families have access to high-quality care in a familiar, welcoming space. The Mobile Care Center team supports the health and well-being of youth and families every step of the way.

Services are available to eligible youth and young adults regardless of insurance status!

Stowe Mission of Central Ohio

What Makes Stowe Mission Special

Stowe Mission is more than a food pantry — it’s a community hub providing a wide range of support services for families in South Columbus. In addition to food assistance, visitors can access:

Stopping by the pantry is often the first step toward discovering the full network of care Stowe Mission offers.

Stowe Mission offers a self-service food pantry providing meats, nonperishable goods, and dairy products to individuals and families who meet low-income guidelines. Anyone can receive assistance — simply call 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment. Households are eligible to receive food every 30 days.

Columbus Free Clinic – Primary Care

The Columbus Free Clinic (CFC) provides free, high-quality primary care and social services to individuals and families in Franklin County who may not have access to affordable healthcare. Operated by healthcare students and licensed professionals, CFC is dedicated to offering comprehensive, compassionate care in a supportive and educational environment.

Services include everything from check-ups and chronic disease management to lab testing, pharmacy support, and social work resources — all at no cost to patients.

Patients are seen by a team of health professions students and licensed providers. Visits include time with medical, social work, and pharmacy teams to ensure complete care. Appointments are held in person for new patients and can include telehealth options for returning patients.

Through a unique patient-centered care coordination model, PCC goes beyond healthcare to address barriers like transportation, nutrition, housing, and stress — all factors that affect pregnancy outcomes.
