The Bridge to Self-Sufficiency® program provides training and skills to:

The 6-week program includes in-person classes, peer networking and support, work with an assigned mentor and life coach, training in financial literacy, personal and professional development.

FACCES 2024 Spring Family Gathering Event!

Date: Wednesday March 6, 2024 
Time: 5:00pm-7:00pm 
Location: 2505 Lockbourne Rd Columbus, Ohio 43207 
 

Activities Include: 
– March “Dadness” Event: Basketball Game Activity designed to welcome fathers and other important males in the community. Besides dads, male involvement can include grandfathers, uncles, brothers, stepfathers, cousins, big brothers—any male figures who are role models for our children. This is not to say that mothers and other female caregivers cannot participate in March Dadness! 

– FACCES Urban Garden: Observe as we welcome the new addition of tilapia fingerlings to our FACCES Urban Garden Greenhouse. 

– Groceries*: Pick up essentials for your household. 

– Plants*: Special distribution just in time for spring. 
 

On The Dinner Menu*: 
–  Honey Ginger Chicken, Spring Salad & Fresh Melon

It’s that time of the year again! We are excited to invite you and your family to a special in-person FACCES Family Gathering aimed at strengthening our community and the families within it. From educational support, health and mental wellness services to food and giveaways, our carefully curated list of vendors is here to make a positive impact on your family’s journey to well-being. We will also hold a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card for FACCES Family Members who attend. Let’s build connections, share experiences, and disrupt barriers. Don’t miss out! Especially during the cold months when the need is greatest, FACCES volunteers show up to support the FACCES Fresh Market. These events are hosted on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, rain or shine, from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Some may find less interest in volunteering during inclement weather, but our amazing volunteers understand that hunger knows no season. There are families in need of food year-round, and our arms remain open to serve the community.

As food prices rise and access to grocery stores becomes increasingly challenging, many families struggle to obtain affordable, nutritious food. The consequences of hunger and malnutrition are far-reaching, affecting health and overall well-being. Food is a basic human right, not a luxury or privilege. Everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are dedicated to making this belief a reality.

We provide hot beverages and snacks to keep volunteers warm, fueled, and excited about giving back. But the true reward lies in knowing that you are supporting an important cause and making a meaningful impact on the lives of families.
