Put on your ice skates (free ice skate rentals available) and enjoy an iceless ice rink and the best music playlist in town. The FACCES kitchen will be open, providing warm meals indoors. Be sure to try a family favorite—Ms. B’s vegetable soup. All food on the menu is complimentary. Don’t miss out on the winter fun—bring your family and friends for an all-around good time! You’ll also have a chance to win a $100 gift card!
We understand that supporting families often requires multiple resources, not just one. We share resources with families through our community resources page on our website. FACCES Committee Mixer
The FACCES Committee Mixer on January 14, 2024, at 4:00pm is an opportunity to bring together the amazing individuals who have contributed their time, talent, and treasure to FACCES over the years. We’re inviting past donors, supporters, and volunteers to engage on a deeper level and explore ways to expand and enhance FACCES core programs. The event’s primary goal is to grow our committees, gather valuable feedback, and spark innovative ideas to further strengthen the FACCES pillars: Food, Education, Physical Health, Mental Wellness, and Legacy Development.
During the mixer, attendees will meet representatives from each pillar and participate in a dynamic “speed-dating” style experience, allowing you to connect with every committee in a fun and interactive way! We will also officially recognize the dedication of the board along with current committee members and share insights on the transformative impact each pillar has on the lives of families in our community. Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to FACCES, this is your chance to join the conversation, get inspired, and help shape the future of our mission. Together, we can continue building stronger families and a stronger community.

Launched in 2022, the FACCES Marketplace began as a heartfelt initiative aimed at providing winter coats to children in the community. What started as a simple gesture has since evolved into a comprehensive program designed to partner with local businesses willing to donate items that families can pick up from FACCES.
As FACCES continues to grow, the Marketplace remains steadfast in its mission to serve the community by making necessities more accessible—one donation at a time. The ongoing partnership with businesses not only enriches the lives of families but also strengthens the community, creating a ripple effect of kindness and support.
Thanks to our generous partners at Google, this month’s Marketplace is offering Family Kits filled with essential items such as lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper*, and coats*—perfect for keeping your family comfortable this season!
To claim a kit, simply follow these steps:

On September 25, 2024, FACCES hosted a Big Table discussion sponsored by the Columbus Foundation. This community-wide day of conversation empowers residents to discuss issues important to them.
Community members gathered around the FACCES Big Table to discuss the Future of Education providing everyone with an opportunity to reflect on the ever-changing landscape of education.
There were diverse voices at the table which provided unique perspectives enabling everyone to authentically share their personal feelings, ideas, beliefs, and solutions. An overarching theme was how important relationships are between all those in a community, families and school personnel in promoting good outcomes for children and youth. Many commented that what we were doing “having a conversation and really listening to one another” is something we don’t do enough off.
